CM FLAGS OF “ADVANCING NORTH EAST CAREER ON WHEELS’
Imphal, 20th May 2022 (DIPR): Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh flagged off three vehicles of the “Advancing North East Career on Wheels” from the Main Gate of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, this afternoon. The Advancing North East is a website providing a one-stop solution for career and livelihood to the youth of the North East.
Speaking on the side-line of the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that the website was launched by the President of India recently from Assam. He said the vehicles and the official teams will drive to all districts of the State and visit educational institutions to meet with the students.
Further stating that this will definitely help in developing Manipur, the Chief Minister said that the portal will provide informed counseling on any issue to the interested students on any issue including higher education, start-up projects, entrepreneurship, getting training, etc.
The flag off ceremony was also attended by officials of NEDFI and Advancing North East.
Advancing North East is a portal developed by NEDFi which is funded by the North Eastern Council, Ministry of DoNER, according to Prithviraj Neog, Assistant Manager, NEDFi. It is a “one-stop solution” web portal for career and livelihood which is available at the domain www.advancingnortheast.in. As a part of the portal’s outreach campaign, “Advancing North East- Career on Wheels” was kick-started which will cover all the districts of NER states in the coming months where awareness amongst the students and youths of North East will be created on how to use the portal for making an informed decision about their career and livelihood, he said.
The event was also participated by Additional Chief Secretary Shri V Vumlunmang, Smt. N. Kulkarani Devi, Director, Department of Planning, Govt. of Manipur, Shri PVSLN Murty, Chairman and Managing Director, NEDFi, Shri S K Baruah, Executive Director NEDFi and other senior officials from NEDFi.
